Soprano Hae Sook Hwang: Adjunct Professor in Christian Music Department

Soprano Hae Sook Hwang graduated from Kyungpook Arts High School and graduated from Youngnam University as a full scholarship student. After completing her graduate course at Youngnam University, she graduated from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in New York and completed her extension course at Juilliard School of Music. 

She won the first place at the National Vocal Competition hosted by Youngnam University and she won second place in the National Sacred Singing Competition. 

She performed the role of Butterfly in the Puccini’s opera “Madama Butterfly,” Adina in the Donizetti’s opera “L’elisir d’amore,” Chunhyung in the Hyun, Jaemyung’s opera “Chunhyung-geon,” and the others. As the head of the Royal Opera Group since 1998, she has produced and performed more than 60 opera works, including “La Traviata,” “Rigoletto,” “Carmen,” “La Boheme,” “Turandot,” “Die Zauberflote,” “Don Giovanni,” “Le Nozze di Figaro,” “Romeo et Juliette,” “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” and so on. 

She taught at Young University, Andong National University, Keimyung Arts University, Daegu Arts University, etc. in Korea.
