1) Student may take other electives courses from another major and use those credits towards his graduation.

2) A student will receive Church Education Teacher Certification upon completing a total of 38 credits (from CE140, 141, 142, 143, 170, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 150, 151).

3) A student will receive TESOL Teacher Certification upon completing a total of 32 credits (from CE141, 142, 170, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 150, 151).

4) A student will receive Christianity Counseling Certification upon completing a total of 24 credits (from CE141, 131, 132, 138, 150, 151, CU501, CC171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176).

5) Elementary, Secondary and Music Education Teacher candidates working toward teacher licensure must meet:

  1. complete at least 120 semester hours,
  2. complete prescribed courses described above in section 3 (Church Education Teacher Certification),
  3. earn a grade of B or better in all course,
  4. complete an e-portfolio demonstrating mastery of State of North Carolina standards for teacher candidates. E-portfolio subscription carries a one-time cost of $130.00.
  5. take licensing examinations required for Carolina teacher licensure.

(The State requirement for teacher licensure may change in regards to NC State law.)
